The new Mackenzie Predator/Salt water rods are very impressive. Over the past 12 months, I’ve tested them in the Maldives and Dubai, targeting saltwater species like queenfish, GTs, and others, as well as pike in the UK. I tied a few nymphs up for my upcoming Grayling fishing today .This pattern has been one of my top performers over the last few seasons. Grayling seem to love purple and pink, but this pattern also takes a good number of trout.

I had a great night at the Chatsworth Fishing Club’s end-of-season dinner with my fishing buddies, James and Bertie. Scott Mackenzie gave an excellent speech on caring for our rivers and how we can contribute to their preservation. Also a big thanks to the chef as the game pie was excellent again.

It was a pleasure to guide Mark and Andy during their charity auction day, where they won the chance to fish the beautiful River Derwent at Chatsworth House. Both were fantastic company and quickly adapted to the river. It was a truly enjoyable day, with numerous Grayling and trout caught.
All the fish were taken using tight-line nymphing tactics, as there was no surface activity. A big thank you to my fishing buddy @bertie55.bs for lending a hand—great job, partner.
