I was asked to guide at a Casting For Recovery day at Coniston Cold on Sunday . The lady I guided for was Caroline, who was excellent company on the day. After our introduction Caroline told me that the one condition her husband agreed to her coming to this event was that she brought a fish home for the barbecue… No pressure then.  Luckily for me we managed to catch a nice rainbow trout on a damsel fly which was taken home to cook later that day. The event was very well organised by the Casting For Recovery Team, and all the ladies  seemed to enjoy it, maybe some will take up the sport in the future.
