I fished the Ladykirk beat today on the River Tweed. The weather was very good for the time of year and there was plenty of fish showing, but it took until the last cast at dusk to land this 10lb hen fish which put up a real scrap. The set up I used today was a Guideline LPXE 13ft 8/9 weight rod, paired with a Guideline Scandi FHS1.  A big thanks to the Ghillie Dean who worked hard throughout the day to put me over fish. Ladykirk is a well worth fishing, the beat is well maintained, wading is easy and there are some great pools.
