Rod selection by Chris Hague
25/08/2016Fishing on the River Derwent at the Chatsworth House
21/09/2016I recently returned from a fishing trip to the River Nith on the Friars Carse beat in Scotland .
The beat was really pretty and well maintained, there were salmon in the system but unfortunately they did not want to come to the party.
Although I did have several brown trout and one nice sea trout.
The set up I was using was a GUIDELINE LXI six piece T PAC 9/10 weight rod matched with a GUIDELINE Triple D line Float/Hover /SInk 1 which I find a great combination.
The fly that took all my fish was a 1 inch Willie Gunn tube fly. This is the set up I use in the video.
